Sunnan II

The restaurant boat Sunnan II is a charming restaurant boat that takes you on lunch and dinner cruises in the Åland archipelago. When she is not out on a cruise, you can see her moored at the jetty in Mariehamn's sea quarter. The ship was built in 1906 and was originally a steamboat, but since 1985 has been operated with a diesel engine. During her days, she has had time to traffic both on Saimen and in Russian Viborg, and before it came to Åland waters in 2019, the ship made dinner cruises in the Ekenäs archipelago for 29 years.

The menu on board is made up of local ingredients and what the season offers. The destination of the cruises varies, so the ship goes where the captain directs, including to Kastelholm and Föglö. During a cruise, you get to experience the Åland archipelago from the water while enjoying a good meal. On the upper deck there is a bar with a wind-protected bar terrace where you can enjoy a drink.
